Is it worth selling privately??

Right I'm having a few issues with my car and I also need to free up some money for a house deposit so the car really needs to go the only problem is it needs a new flywheel and clutch which I know is going to be expensive so if I was to sell it privately what do you think I would get for it realistically, it's a tornado red 2005 (55) with 57000miles just had oil change, brake fluid change and mot done on it, it's it fairly good condition with some stone chips to the front end. I also changed the spark plugs and coil packs myself only a few months ago.

Apart from the noisy flywheel it does drive great and it's also fitted with edition 30 wheels and has armrest with iPod dock in it.

A few weeks ago I looked at trading it in against an r32 and was offered £6750 in its current condition however I couldnt go through with it due to change of circumstances.

Is it worth £6500 with the dodgy flywheel???

That seems like a good deal to me, considering i was offered 6500 and i just had mine serviced, 2006 Red, 47k DSG.

I should be able to get around 8k-9k if i sold privately for mine, i would think yours would go for more than what your being offered if you sold it privately.

Is my estimate of 8k-9k extreme for mine?

When I was thinking of selling mine a few months back I was offered £8k, 05 plate, manual, three door, xenons & monza II's, 70k miles.
