« on: December 23, 2011, 01:53:01 pm »
Now I've got my first descent car, i'll probably look at doing some track days next summer and just wondered how much it roughly costs for a days track day insurance?

Not sure but it's not cheap. Most people take the chance of no insurance or get it included with there normal policy, never heard of it being available this way for hatchbacks though.  :driver:

Competition car insurance and MORIS.co.uk do one day cover, expect to pay 10% of what you value the car at with an eye-watering excess. I've used these for European events in the past, the rates come down as they get to know you - a bit like a no claims bonus.

A few places will do you road and track policies, either on a 'x amount of days included' or £xx per track day' basis. Greenlight do mine and have done for years.  :happy2:
Sideways yo!

I used Competition Car Insurance (CCI), it was £70 ish for one day track cover with 10% excess on the value of the car (~£1000).
