What version coilpacks do you have? It's the last letter after the part number.
Without traction power is nothing!

Yeah I checked them Dave. They all tightened up the tiniest of amounts. Like 1/180th of a turn lol.

I'll ring vw about the free coils then if not, I'll get in touch :)

Thanks again Dave

Who changed the plugs Nick? I did mine as per the pic on the box, hand tight then 2/3 of a turn. Think Im going to invest in a torque wrench to be extra sure.  Same for piece of mind when re doing oil filter housing.

UPDATE:

Rang customer services today to ask why my coilpacks have been marked as recalled when infact they hadn't.

Turns out that VW Sheffield had ticked the recall box and claimed to have swapped them, but actually hadn't!!

Took my car to VW Doncaster, and they dealt with customer services and also VW Sheffield to provide me with 4 new coil packs and labour free of cost!!!

Turns out that they are charging VW Sheffield for it all, as they dropped the bollock!!  :happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

Car should be back tomorrow afternoon, running sweet again    :happy2:
