Thanks everyone for all the input, it's extremely helpful and confirms my thoughts about the two intakes. I think what I'll do is get my Twintake fitted (Carl?) and see how the car feels. I'm not particularly worried about whether it looks good or not because it's not something I'll be looking at on a daily basis (did look good under Robin's hood though  8)), I am hoping that it won't make too much noise for my liking though, partially another reason I chose the Twintake over ITG. But if I do find the noise hard to live with, it'll have to come out...  :rolleye:

I agree and disagree.... yes the ITG does seem to deliver more raw power higher up the RPM scale and the Forge kit is def more responsive midrange over the ITG....noise level diffreneces from both filters on my car were not noticeable at all so  anyone that says the Forge is louder or quieter in my opinion hasnt used both as i have, i can only speak from personal experience but if anything Mandy the Forge is marginally quieter but as RR agreed  its all about what ''other'' mods you are running, i found by adding a Forge diverter valve it become ALOT louder and the addition of the Forge Twintercooler made another noticeable difference in sound. Fit the Forge and forget about what anyone else says Mandy you will be fine but all intakes will be considerably louder than OEM so its a compromise....more power mean less restriction in the exchange of gases that are inducued and expelled which inevitably means more noise.

.
Mandy, if I'd realised you were considering an intake I would have offered you a ride in mine at JKM.
