18v Impact wrenches

I am looking at buying an impact wrench to save time when removing my wheels? I tried a 14.4v gun today but it would not even look at them. I have my wheel nuts tightened to 120nm, will a 18v gun rated at 195nm remove them no problem? If you have any suggestions or if you use one on a regular basis what is the minimum amount of torque needed to slacken the nuts? Thanks, Stevie.

I’ve got a Milwaukee 28v cordless impact driver that is rated at 440nm. I use this to undo the wheel nuts and it will undo them if they are tightened to about 110 - 120nm. Some nuts may need a bit more rattling than others.
If a trigger happy person has tightened them up to silly nm with their air compressed wrench then no chance. You will have to use loosen them manually first.

I use my mates gun, which is 24v and has thus far done most things on the cars we work on. It's similar to eBay item 220877507733 - he got it from Screwfix a few years ago and it's been well worth it.

yeah i paid £400 for mine and it has been brilliant but maybe a bit expensive if your only going to use it now and again
