Passenger side mirror faulty
« on: October 20, 2011, 12:20:24 am »
Just noticed that I have an issue with my passenger side mirror. It turns uP & down but not left to right.

Can coding be a cause of this as I have just had my battery disconnected today & noticed straight after. However drivers side works fine

Any Ideas guys.. Could it be a faulty motor?

Unlikely to be coding. Motor might well be the issue.

Thanks for the reply..

Do you know if the motors are difficult to change or do I need a complete unit?

Had to change mine last year, got a DIY from here.

It was easy to change and you can probs pick up the whole wing mirror unit for about 50 on ebay

sorry to jump on the bandwagon, not sure if anyone can help, but when I move the driver side wing mirror it also moves the left?? not the end of the world as the passenger side moves on its own...... anyone else had the same problem?

thats not an issue mate, its meant to do that! you set your drivers mirror then set your passenger mirror, it moves the other one at same time so that you can tilt them both down for reversing etc.

As above, it's a "convenience" feature. Set the driver one first and then the passenger one if it causes problems.

The idea is that if someone taller/shorter gets into the car, by moving the driver's one, they shouldn't have to adjust the passenger one as it'll be done for them.
