Well I'd love an M3 and would be just as expensive to run as you won't need to mod it!

^^ exactly the reason a stg2+ eddy can show an e90 m3 a clean pair of heels.

I recently kept on the bumper of an M6 from 40mph to 140mph and they have 500bhp. My Cupra was running a standard air filter/box at the time.

Claims of stg 2+ k04 cars beating M3's and the like are not tall stories or bold statements. Its all about the power to weight.

Like I said in another thread, my stage 1 ED30 doesn't feel too much off the pace of my 997 C2S, once rolling, if there is at all anything in it.  The DSG will help the Golf as well.  But let's be fair, it's not a Porsche.  When driving most of the tuned cars that I've owned, I've always felt I've got something's prove, when I'm in the Porsche, I have nothing to prove - if that makes sense. However when I do get in the mood, my god, the Porsche is awesome, in every respect. The flat six noise through the sports exhaust helps, as well as the awesome grip!

Neither of those are supercars IMO.

I sold my 911 back in April after 5 years , great car and unlike my Golf it went round corners very quick  But then its 3 times as much in price !!!

Been looking at m3's as they are cheap now, 28,000 buys you a good one. New 3 series is out next year though so prices will tumble even more.

Cars will always keep you poor

True, not quite super cars but pretty quick! And yes, I'd much prefer an M3 or a 911!!

Maybe but stertman themselves dont list a stage 3 kit and nothing comes up when you google it apart from that vid, personally i think its stage 2+ and the maker of the vid just randomly decided it was stage 3.

Also the M3 is similar in pace to an RS4 and we all know what the outcome of that one was..... a 18 month driving ban

Oi Robert, less of that please..  :fighting:

Oh and it was 15 months actually..  :booty: :signLOL:

The car in the video is running a Ko4. I think it's mentioned in the comments.

^^^ Very true.. Spoke to the guy on there about it a few times. It's taken some serious scalps at these events too AND it's a slow ass manual  :surprised:  :signLOL:

If you're slick enough with the gear changes you'll find there won't be a huge difference with the DSG . I remember once i posted a speedo vid of my old TDI and i got asked was it a DSG i could change the gears so fast :happy2:

I agree to a certain point that a manual with a good driver can change gear quick (use to be a party trick of mine in my old CTR). What you can't do is keep the blower spinning and avoid at least some lag. Something DSG is great at.. Not so much an issue on NA cars obviously..
