For iPad, please. There are loads out there and so choice isn't straightforward. Regardless of interface, accuracy seems to be the biggest problem to overcome.

I like the look of these two:

Anyone got any experience of better ones, please?

Carl and a few others (including myself) would quite like to see LucyV grace our iOS devices.

I use Weather+, WeatherProHD and Accuweather!

A mixture of all 3 normally gives you a good idea :happy2:

Metoffice is usually very accurate, it was really useful in the snow period.

I use Met Office as the native app was so crap it was ridiculous. Met Office is IMO far more accurate, but I've not compared it to its rivals.

....It's got several bad reviews for its iPad version. Mostly to do with image quality it seems. Thanks, though  :happy2:

Not sure if they do an app, but noticed that no one has mentioned BBC Weather forecasting.

That's probably because they seem to bloody guess..

WeatherPro looks as if it offers a very good range of data without swamping you with science.

Can you tap in the name of your small local town or is it just the bigger urban centres?

Robin a good alternative is a weather rock

I've got one in my garden which I use every day.

When is wet it's raining, when i can't see it its foggy, when its dry then its a good day and when its white it's snowing :pomppomp:

Bit of a bugger to cart around with you and not very good for predicting the weather in advance, but its very accurate for telling you current conditions



Sorry could resist  :P.....................I use Met office and the standard App - I only found out this week that if you tap the standard App it will expand and give you the detail for the day (but I guess those Apple boys already knew this - unless its new with IOS 5)

The iPad doesn't have a standard weather App like the iPhone apparently does.

Up early - some scrots tried to break into my house. They didn't succeed thank god, so with the police coming round etc, I was a bit wired.

Ref the weather pro, you can put the name of the town in. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm really impressed with it.

The standard app is total b@ll@cks!

Another :happy2: for the WeatherPro app. I also use the Met Office one. You get a good idea by using the 2 together.

I went with WeatherPro and so far am very pleased. It's got a clear interface but with all the weather info I need. It has been very accurate on the weather today and is matching the TV forecasts for the next few days, so we'll see. I like the Radar view showing the cloud system.

I have weather pro on both the piephone and eyepatch.

I have always found it to be spot on accurate even down to when it breaks the weather down into hour segments. It has said it will rain between 10-11 and sure enough it did.

I also have accuweather and weather+ but weatherpro seems the most accurate. I have also paid for the premium extras (more radar and satellite coverage) which I find very useful.

But I would lurrrrve a LucyHD weather App  :drool: :love: :laugh:
