Going Stage 2
« on: September 23, 2011, 02:30:48 pm »
OK,

Finally taking the plunge...

Stage 2 revo on my edition 30.... Have hopefully sourced a 3" Downpipe and 200Cell cat... Are they expensive to fit and I believe the remap is just another £50 odd on top of the Stage 1...?

Hopefully insurance won't rape me as much as they did when I went stage 1, and they are supposed to be a mod friendly broker!?

Any coments welcomed...

Dom

Insurance is generally ok if you tell them about power upgrades at the beginning, more mower mid policy i have found costs mroe!

If you can id go somewhere like psi tuning in stoke (if its close) because they quote a price no matter how long it takes, mine took 3.5hours as one of the bolts was sized. Plus they are very good and come highly recommended.

Just think your only a intake and a hpfp away from stage 2+  :signLOL:

Revo Stage 2 is perfect without going to the intake, the combination of power and front wheel drive is about right IMO.

Plus good mpg, crisp throttle response and great low-mid pick up. I run 6,5,9

Nope no intake needed only recommended, even a performance filter would do well.

I think you will be very pleased with stock Revo stage 2.

A great compromise. I did speak to one of the guys at Revo when I was looking at options and said what I wanted :

Crisp throttle response
Minimal lag
No obvious feeling of that horrible 'elastic' boost
Fit and forget
Quick enough to annoy most cars

He said the sweetest option was Stage 2.

Is that Boost 6, Timing 5, Fueling 9?

Is this system exclusive to Revo are could I ask my tuner to enter the same values?

No B6 is lower than B7
