A lad i know came off at Dentons about ten days ago and finished his off, at cascades.  Went backwards down the grass at over a hundred ending up in the tyre wall.  :congrats:

Nice commitment!!

When I realised it wasn't going to stop, I had that split second to decide whether to turn or not, I straightened it up, gritted my teeth and threw it in the litter. Had to turn on the handbrake (steering doesn't work) to save me from said tyres, as it wasn't scrubbing speed...
Sideways yo!

I will be taking it very easy in mine, i am going their more for the experience with other Lotus drivers as it is a lot safer being a passenger.  :pomppomp:

Smoothness is key off season, slow in, fast out.

Oh, and not watching the back of a Bora, saying "that looks odd" and then realising you've missed the braking point.
Sideways yo!

Had a great day today at Oulton. Such an amazing track for the little Lotus. Had a big off on my first lap, i was taking it easy as it was greasy in a few places due to the time of year, came out of Druids and the car twitched a bit i lifted off a bit too fast and the next thing i know my rear spoiler was passing my passenger window. Couldn't catch the spin and ended up sliding backwards for about 40 yards along the grass getting closer and closer to the arnco. Stopped with less than 6 inches to spare.  :innocent:     :rolleye:
This turned out to be a blessing though as it made me fully aware of my driving style. I had to learn to be ultra smooth, on and off all of my pedals and how important the apexes where to hit, once i got used to this it was quite amazing how fast i could push it.
Be careful next week guys Oulton park does not take prisoners.

Glad u had a good day Tom  :happy2:, think a lot of what you have said could be the difference in the cars. The modern cars like the GTI and the S3 let you get a way with murder and they are very forgiving and easy to drive fast, where as stuff like your Exige and the Elise are much more focused and deffo less forgiving but if you learn how to drive them they are very quick and make our regular stuff seem clumbersome. Just my opinion of course, having driven both on track recently and of course Oulton can bite u on the arse

Oh yeah, I forgot to say - there's a wet line at Oulton.

Nice save TC, the good thing is you know what it feels like when it's going wrong, so you can nip it in the bud next time  :happy2:

I also had a heart stopping moment at Clay hill. Put 2 wheels on the grass just after it kinks left, i was at 8000 RPM in fourth so traveling at way over a hundred. My arms and hands swapped sides in the blink of an eye  proper sh*t me up, i knew i couldn't turn away from the grass without spinning so had a few seconds to see my life flash before me. If i had had come off at that point, pretty sure i would not be here.   went home after that.  :driver:
