Stage 2 mpg
« on: October 24, 2011, 11:30:29 am »
How have members with this software found the mpg, is it better or worse than stage 1/stock.  Looking for realistic figures under normal driving conditions.

im revo 2+

if i drive around not thinking of fuel, a journey of a+b + traffic = 28mpg

if im concerned about mpg round the same roads 32/33mpg

motorway with cruise at 70 = 34mpg
at 60 =37mpg

if i have a play at any point during any journey id expect a drop of 4mpg

I'm running Stage 2+ too and getting very similar figures to Edd  :happy2: definitely seem to get more miles to a tank if i drive sensibly with manily motorway miles over standard when i first got the car....... but then again how often does anyone drive sensibly all the time  :driver:

My figures have dropped from standard, could get 40mpg at 60mph standard. Im not bothered either way, power doesn't generally mean better fuel economy. it means big smiles.

i do how ever get better fuel economy on vpower over tesco momentum as much as i hate it because i do like my clubcard points!

How you find performance between them? It noticeable? Ive started running my Gti on momentum at moment, does sway it with 5p off vouchers :P My RS was noticeably better on momentum over v power but was other way round with ibiza. Not tried Gti on v power yet.

Lets face it. If you are thinking about stage 2 onwards is MPG really on the priority list?

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Mpg isn't a major issue unless it is significantly lower.  I fully accept the loud pedal may receive more pressure, but day to day it will be normal driving, with the odd blast.

I havent noticed a massive difference in normal day to day driving but obviously it drinks like a fish when you really open it up  :drinking:

Well i monitor my mpg very close as i have just purchased a 2nd house and i either have to drive the c1 as much as possible or drive mine seriously slowly. I dont think its going to be enough though :(
