Without knowing what was in the other slot I would probably by a 2x4GB as a kit.

Considering my prehistoric set up is running 3gb (which I upgraded) the 4gb in the laptop will be enough..............for now!!

Cheers fella and thanks for the advice.  However, now I've got the new computer coming, I am going to need a copy of Microsoft Office 2010...............if you know what I mean.................... :evilgrin:

Just download OpenOffice, does the same and it's free :)

Or sometimes if you use it at work you can purchase a Home Use Program for naff all monies.  :wink: :happy2:

Just thought actually, go to software4students.co.uk and you can buy office for under £40 if the primary user is a student :o)

Very randomly, my wife won one in a raffle last week so it's up for sale if you or anyone wants a copy. Original still sealed in packet office 2010 pro plus
