thanks guys, ive driven the c63 and here's my round up:
6.3 V8.....WOW..the sound of that thing is incredible. it does leave you thinking the devil is shouting down the exhausts!
Its about 450 horse, i don't know about the torque, but i guess its a lot. The power comes in a huge wallop from low low down the rev range, and it just does not stop with correct use of the flappy paddle arrangement. (Supposedly all the way to 180 without stopping)
With the ever so angry 6.3 V8 over the front axles, it does feel like a car that needs nursing through tight bends. It doesn't instil masses of confidence when turning into a tight bend. After struggling to scrub of speed into a corner, with the lifeless brakes, there's a hint of under steer with the weight of the dam thing. Then comes the back end always wanting to kick out in any gear, any condition. It certainly is a challenging drive, but certainly not a drivers car. Its not as poised and balanced as an M3. But that omnipotent power surge and exhaust tone will keep you smiling. I would probably say that it doesnt, handle as well as an RS4, but then again some people would say, the RS4 is a slightly clinical drive and less involving than the C63. Its to do with personal preference, i prefer the M3 or Rs4.
Id say its more of a Autobahn stormer, rather than a mountain road thriller.
There are also a few refinements missing that i miss from my golf. Such as headlights turning themselves off, it doesn't happen.
The dash feels very plastic and the satnav system looks like a first grade Chinese import. The interface is uninspiring to say the least.
Overall, its a bit of a show off car, ye it sounds nice, it goes well on the motorway. But im sure the real car nut would go for the M3 or the RS4.
BTW...i dont drive all the cars i detail, but i know the owner quite well, and being insured on any car below 125k with owners consent, i had it for the day before i detailed it. with the instruction to "take it out, see what you think to it"
and to any potential customers of miglior detailing, dont worry, your car wont move an inch out of the unit!
