If you want to use an iPhone another option is a Parrot bluetooth system. This will give you two options for playing music. 1. stream audio from your iPhone via bluetooth, or 2. play music via the iPod connection. The advantage of doing it via the iPod connection is that you can access your entire music library via the little control unit with the library and album artwork etc being displayed on the screen. Also your phone is always on recharge. If you do it via bluetooth you have to make your album selections on the phone and then press play. However via bluetooth you can keep the phone in your pocket. When you get an incoming call it will stop playing the music and give you the option of answering the call or not. It's very easy to use. I have the MKi9200 which is around the £250 mark with installation. Your other option is to upgrade your head unit.
