The best advice is don't go for cheap suspension parts from unbranded/unknown manufacturers.... Stay well away from those eBay things.

Its not me being a snob or anything, but suspension is SUCH a critical part of the car, and as you say, if you go for something too cheap then it will just cause you problems long term - and will probably ruin the great handling on the Golf.

Save up for a little bit longer and get a product from a well know, experienced manufacturer that will give you a warranty and peace of mind.

I'm pretty sure APs Weitecs are a KW v1, but not stainless and maybe missing some of their variable valve technology, so just KW's strut and spring - so as with all non-stainless struts, you're going to have to seal them very well with something like Waxoil to stop them siezing and take very good care of them.

Performance wise though, you should be happy with them.  :happy2:

I've got AP coilovers on mine, and am happy with them for the money.....also been told that they are very close to Weitec coilovers, made by the same people as KW and Weitec.

Hope that helps.

Oh, hang on - it's Weitec that are KW v1's, not APs. Oops.

Although it is possible APs are made in the same factory, price determines spec & quality, just make sure it's German and has TUV approval.

Hi
Yes AP are owned by KW , but not made in the same place...
But you are correct , 2 year warranty and TUV approved
We have done quite a few AP coilover kits , and so far all have been pleased with them
For the price too......you can get yourslef a bargain
Nice one
Sarah
