induction kit
« on: October 27, 2011, 03:59:27 pm »
Hi all, I can't really find what I'm after exactly, I want to get either a twintake or an itg maxogen kit, i plan on getting the car mapped but I want a bit of noise without a loud exhaust.
what kit makes the best sounds?
If anyone has any videos would be appreciated :)
The car is a mk5 gti dsg if it matters

I would personally just get a non-res Miltek cat back!!! The car sounds just about perfect with one fitted. Plus if you have a DSG you'll get the burble during gear change

But here are one or 2 vids I found on Youtube of the intakes

I like that chatter on the itg one, would that sound much different with mine not being an ed30 though?
After reading a bit i see a lot of people saying itg is to loud and some saying its not loud, is the forge loud? i had an enclosed filter on my old gti6 and it didnt sound much different, but had an open filter on my old s3 and it was a fair bit louder

Open air filters tend to be louder. You will also get chatter with a normal gti.  :innocent:

If i were you, I'd go for the ITG. Good gains and awesome noise.

I have the BDM which is pretty identical but I have a larger filter  :happy2:
