Says on my receipt they have applied it plus when i inquired i can remeber him coming out with a price of over £200 per tyre. 
Going to ring a different store tomorrow for a quote, then ring them back and get another quote.

Considered that, but £150ish is a lot for 5 mil of tyre.

I was in the Chester one earlier and 225/40/18 are £156 inc vat per tyre before discount, wonder if they have charged you for 235/40/18 as they come in at £200+ per tyre before discount?

Aye maybez, will find out tomorrow. I did a quick check on other tyre websites, and other decent brands in the same size were coming in at 200+ so i just thought i would bite the bullet.

I wouldn't mind but i had a company, driver safety course with an ex Copper on Thursday which really hit home so i thought fook it i will replace all 4 tyres for her even though she only needs 2. I was driving home thinking she had 17in wheels and i could escape with a bill of about £400ish.

I'd normally agree Rich and the F1s are a great tyre, but i kid you not the PS3s have gone almost twice the distance both sets of F1s i had did...

Compared to the Gen 1 Assym i'd say that there is ever so slightly less grip in a full throttle straight line situation although i'm being super critical there and my times at Inters were within 0.1s for both tyres, granted not exactly scientific though! 

Lateral grip and braking wise there is no difference that i can feel or quantify tbh, although the PS3 really does raise the game in the wet compared to the F1 imo
