Hi guys,
I have a 06 2005 GTI MKV (ABT remap 240ps) with DSG.
Bought it in october 2010 (a year ago).
Noticed that it 'hesitates' a little when driving off slowly (citydriving/trafficlights/etc.). So from a standstill, gently on the accelerator, it feels like it 'jumps' a little around 1200rpm. Like it wants to go faster.
Feels just like a little 'hop'/'hessitation'/'jump'. Then goes normally/smoothly into second gear and from then everything feels fine!
Is first and second gear something like 'cooperating gears?? with dsg?
So only problems in first gear, starting from a standstill. When the car already rolls (like in traffic jam) it's already in second gear and everything feels smooth when accelerating from that point.
A friend did a DSG reset/basic setting some months ago and after a testdrive the car felt different/driving off from standstill felt way better/smooth, just as it should.
But the last time I noticed that the 'hesitation/stutter/hop/jump came back when driving off from standstill.
Today I did the same dsg reset/basic setting (
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/6-Speed_Direct_Shift_Gearbox_(DSG/02E) ) again and went for a small testdrive in tiptronic mode.
Car feels smooth again, driving off from standstill.
Haven't had time to do the full suggested testdrive yet, but will do so tomorrow.
(Drive in Tiptronic Mode from stand still up to 6th Gear.
While doing that make sure to drive in Gears 3 or 5 for approx. 5 minutes and also in 4 or 6 for approx. 5 minutes.
The engine speed window for all gears is 1200 - 3500 RPM (for clutch calibration).
Perform one sharp braking followed by a full throttle acceleration (oil return check) while in Drive, Not Tiptronic Mode.)How comes that this problem came back?
Something wrong with my dsg? I donĀ“t have the common dsg faillures, no faultcodes, dsg oil is changed when I bought it last year at VW (10000miles).
Do I have to worry?
Thanks,
Tim
