I remember them harking about bow-waves on TG when they had to cross Africa.

Well I for one would not take my GTI through any water deep enough to make a bow wave  :surprised: :scared:

I'll leave that to my 'off road' days in other peoples cars  :wink:

Had to travel "down south" last Sunday night in quite possibly the worst condition ever.  Couldn't see out of the windscreen very far that much spray and rain.  Happy to have left my car at home and used somebody else's. :)

YEah I was travelling from midlands to down south and the weather was pretty horrendous. Didn't go above 60mph due to traffic or due to weather conditions, apart from a coupla blips of course  :grin:

But when I was travelling back from work, had no idea there were gonna be big puddles until I actually came across them, plus I don't have any other car. I had to drive through the large puddles to get back home. Thankfully they were gone the next day.
