Won't be able to use standard unleaded soon?
« on: November 03, 2011, 02:54:56 pm »
The law is changing about the percentage of ethanol that will be in unleaded (95 octane) as from next year - A DfT statement said the use of E10 shouldn’t affect the operation of modern cars “with the exception of direct-injection vehicles”.

I just read this as well

I think that they will have to keep the regular fuel as well, considering the number of cars jumping on the direct injection wagon!

It says premium unleaded will keep 5% ethanol until 2013. So what happens after that, will that go up to 10% as well??

If I read it in EVO I would be worried but not the daily mail of the motoring press but after 2013 it looks like I am putting any old fuel in!
