Highline reset?
« on: November 03, 2011, 01:19:52 pm »
I've had my car since july but seems i keep finding new stuff lol. I knew i could scroll through the different screens on highline dash showing mpg etc. from steering wheel controls. But when i got it back from mapping it was showing i had done journey for 31hours or something. Realised there is a 2 in corner. Found i can toggle between these with the ok button on wheel but how do i reset them?

I know journey one resets after a set amount of time with car off but how do i reset the totals?

Cheers

Has been covered before. I'd say "do a search" but it's down!  :signLOL:

mpg 1 = average mpg for the journey (and includes any journies within a two hour period*)
mpg 2 = total average mpg

mpg1 gets reset if the car hasn't been used for more than two hours, so if you do lots of short trips with say five mins in between, it'll still show the average for the journies.

mpg 2 doesn't get reset until you reset it.

Press and hold the button on the bottom of the stalk to reset.

I'm sure this info can be found in your car manual (I guess they put it there for more than just show), and if you don't have one, I recommend you buy one!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I usually do search but its disappeared. I bet they do put it in there for more than show, probably the same as this forum. There for help not just for show

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated will try it later on my way home.  :happy2:
