Changing turbo - low boost

My car isn't making as much boost as it should, so looking at what this
could be caused by

I've got a revision d diverted valve, new pcv. I will check all inter cooler hoses etc. foam air filter needs a clean

If it is the turbo, is it hard to remove? Any guides about?

Yes mapped with bluefin. Mods include carbonio intake, forge twintercooler, miltek sports cat, and tbe.

Was logged by jody at midlandvw. Will post logs of actual/specified vs rpm

Take the map off, revert to STD and do some logging with VCDS.  If you don't have the cable, look in the VCDS section and find someone close to you who may assist.

Don't write off the Turbo yet, lots of other possibles.  The BF map is renown for being annoyingly playful.

Get it logged standard, if its ok, you might be having the same issue i did with the BF map.

Mine would over boost, then just die around 4k, changed to REVO and no isssues

Is the ecu asking for the load and the hardware not giving it, ie N75 duty cycle 95%+

I would not fit a new turbo yet, not until you know 100% what this issues are.  We use scopes to look in to the turbo via the lambda boss and the DV location.

I have also found the D valves to leak and bleed boost off.

im going threw the same issues as you at the mo but mine is a different turbo . boost to 5 psi then nothing threw the rev range , im hoping its something simple but i fear its the turbo :( as for removing them i found it a right pain when doing my swap . hope its something simple . on std ko3 sometimes the manifolds crack which could be your problem . i have a ko3 in the loft if needed

I guess you've changed the pcv and divertor valve?

What turbo you got? Ko4/hybrid?

Out of interest, what was with your ko3?

i have a gt28 , i have the pcv fix and using a completly different dv set up , nowt wrong with my old turbo just upgraded
