there will be very little performance gains, but they look miles better. And a remapped diesel with a turbo back exhaust sounds crazy at full chat. I.ve got an ed30 exhaust on mine.

Eventually i'll be going down this route...

and with having the 170 you need to bin the dpf to get anything worth while out of the remap

so i'll be looking to do both together  :happy2:

Hi
Yes if you bin the DPF it will need mapping with it

I must admit , as the diesels dont need the CAT to pass an MOT and that being the most restrictive part , you can find great gains

Custom code have just released there DPF removal map, but its hardly much to shout about. 227 bhp?

revo are seeing 210 with the DPF on. i dont think it would be worth me doing the DPF map just yet

if i can get 210 brake and about 350 ft/lb torque from a custom map, that will do me!

things against Custom code map:

Costs a grand
Needs a DPF removal pipe - obvious to VW i have voided warranty.
Not that much gain

Revo:
Cheaper
Good map with the DPF fitted
Switchable

I have a turbo back resonated twin pipe milltek on my 2.0 TDi . The difference in power is minimal but it does sound better and  seems to give  slightly better throttle response .

I understand why JPC does nt want to do it now, but if your doing it from standard and at the same time like i plan to (filter exhaust and map) then the gains will be maxed together, Because for the Likes of liamo just having and exhaust you won't feel alot of gain...

Yes and no, the actual bhp gains might not be massive, but the two maps (revo with dpf and revo with) feel very very different.

The power is therefor alot longer and stronger

Having driving both maps from Revo now, all be it the DPF inc map was a Skoda Octavia 170 and the other being my Golf, they do drive differently.
Mine dosent feel at all breathless unlike the DPF equipt vehilce.

Just my 2p
Don't judge me by your ability !
