Jacking
« on: April 11, 2009, 02:02:18 pm »
The jacking points aren't as clear cut on this car as they were on my old one. Do I use the bit where the 'sill' (not the door sill but the thing behind it) is perpendicular to the car and has a 'sharp' edge, or the bit where it curves like an L-shape?

As far as I can tell the L-shaped bits are closest to the wheels with the middle bit being a straight edge.

Any ideas?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

There should be a doubled up reinforced section under the sills, you can't miss them.

If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.
