My ED30 gearknob has a slight fault with the print on the shift pattern on the cap in that it is a bit 'blurred'.
What I think has happened is the previous owner has removed the platic cap from the top of the gearknob and glued it back again; the fumes from the glue have slightly distorted the silver print.
Has anyone ever found a replacement for the plastic shift pattern cap? There must be a few that have been damaged (rings scratching them are normally a favourite) and ingenious forum members normally come up with something to repair their pride and joy.
I'm in two minds whether to sell the gearknob (I've got two!!) as is or put it back in the car. If it goes back in the car I want it looking perfect.
And yes, I've searched ebay ...
