Car Audio fitting help

Evening all,

I fitted the RNS510 myself a few months back but am now looking to improve the sound with an aftermarket amp (under passenger seat), 3 way components for the front and 2 way components for the rear. I have all the parts now (well possibly missing the odd bit of wire/bits and bobs) but fitting is beyond my capabilities!!!! I would be interested in learning a bit more if there is anyone out there who would be willing to lead the install with me assisting. I'm more than happy to pay for this as I appreciate it's a lot of work but I thought I would ask before I pay someone to do it for me.

I'm in the MCR area and could travel to you if anyone is able to give me a hand? Oh and no disrespect to anyone but let's be realistic with our own capabilities. I mean Kim Kardashians marriage only lasted a matter of days but she wouldn't be coming back to my place if I met her out in a bar!

Where are you looking at fitting them? Are they just a straight swap? I will help you if you want?

I'm just looking at fitting the speakers in the usual places, the amplifier under the seat, however, I will be using a line output converter to reduce the speaker outputs from the RNS510 to make this suitable for an amplifier.

Installing an amp and front door speakers is fairly easy... providing you have speakers in the rear doors already?

Out of interest how much is your local audio shop charging?

Would be better to install a four channel amp in the rear of the car, mounted to the back of the rear seats.. from there just run flat speaker wires to the back of the headunit (would take you 15 min to unclip the side trimmings of the door sills and then pop the back into place)..

Once the speaker wires are routed to behind the Headunit its simply a matter of connecting them to the OEM speaker wires in your loom. For this it would be better to buy a seperate wiring loom rather than you splicing into your original loom... or simply adding bullet connectors if you want to use your original wiring loom.. Now all your door speakers are running off the amp..

Door speakers themselves is just a matter of drilling through the rivets, installing the adapters if you need them, and drilling the new speakers back in...

Took about 3 or 4 Hours tops...
