Apologies if some of you may have read my comment on other VAG forums, just thought I'd share my feedback in case anyone here is still considering dipping their toe in the tuning water.
I finally picked up my 5 door, Steel grey Edition 30 on 3rd of April after a few issues namely my old car being sold privately only to fall through less than week before I was due to pick up my new car (cheers fella). Fortunately a very genuine chap came to the rescue and a deal was done that saved me an £800 drop if I'd part-ex'd.
Picked the car up and went straight to Dave Goddard for Revo stage 2 code, panel filter and Autotech fuel pump.
Unfortunately the car developed EPC and engine check lights after about 45 mins of driving so had to be returned to standard for a few days due to extremely high correction factors whilst the root cause was established.
Logs suggested possible PCV or DV failure complicated by use of crappy fuel previously.
One forge DV valve, Vpower and tweaked Revo code later (boost 6, timing 5, fuel 9) and the car is running like a dream. Performance is astonishing, very progressive and tractable, but mid to top end power is incredible. Ian (Powermaps) suggests this is one of the quickest he's been in.
Green light now provided by the wife to get a turboback system.
My thanks to Ian (powermaps), revo kev and dave goddard in getting this resolved.
