for the turn signals has sidelights no you don't need a 30byte controller I had it on my old controller before I went to the 30bytes version.

Darren

Hi Darren,

Thank you for your help and confirming how do this  :happy2:

Do you know if i is possible to change to the 30byte controller and roughly the cost implications in doing so?
I also want  to active the corning assist (fog light coming with the steering and indicators), and understand I you need the 30byte controller in order to active this.

Many Thanks,
Lee

Looks good, but I would prefer it if they worked without the side and dipped lights.  Is that even possible?

Not being a kill joy but I am wondering about the legalities behind this in this country.  I thought it was an offence to show other than white lights to the front.

It very well could be but mine passed an MOT with them on, tester said as long as they flashed when indacators are selected then all is good!

Did this to mine and a mates car yesterday. Looks pretty good. Went for 50% though as it matches the sidelights abit better. Nice little mod.

Its not illegal, look at the likes of Volvo and BMW both have the orange indicator showing all the time.  It is only illegal to show blue lights at the front i.e imitating a police vehicle :happy2:

Lee01 yes you can change to the 30byte controller very easily, I changed Ajay's out in about 5 minutes for a midline one has is was showing a bad fault, I had a spare one so just swapped it out for him.

I think 30byte controllers go for about £140 on eBay??

Hi Guys,

Sorry to drag this up again, however while activating the cornering fogs function we could not active the front indicators to come on as running lights?

Is this possible with the 30 byte controller?

Cheers chaps
Lee

Yes it should be. I have both indicators and cornering fogs activated.

I don't suppose you can remember exactly how to do it?

Thanks for the link mate, cornering foggies are actived and working fine however it is a more detailed explantation of how to get the front indicators on as running lights which is causing a problem!
