r32 rear disc upgrade

anyone upgraded a gti to r32 rear disc's?

do the oem heat guards fit?

done a load of reading and so far came up with no.

Yes they fit (but need the R32 carriers and calipers too). Splash guard can be re-used just needs bending back a little.

As the gaffer says.  Yes they can be used, just takes a small tweak. 

I was one of the first to fit S3/R32 rears to a Gti.  I tried the S3 guards, and they just do not fit, could only get one screw in correctly.

The s3 don't fit

What about the actual r32 ones? I've read they have 4 holes to mount vice 3?

I wouldn't bother looking any further.  Just fit the discs/calipers etc, and tweak the guards to provide clearance.  I ran this set-up for ages, then when removed tweaked them back into shape.  All good.
