Because it's not standard across all GTIs, is it? I don't have it. It was an optional extra, like that parking mirror thing.

This thread was meant to be more about the 'little things' that are the same in each car - like the glove box, or the autolights.

As I can't put down the Monza IIs ;) I'd have to say that the one other thing apart from the steering wheel is the boot handle :)
Not that I've got my GTI yet (most of other mod-cons you've stated are standard on my S4 ;) ), but I really like the cool idea behind the VW badge being the boot release  8)

the mk6 gets a camera under theres, the badge pops up half way when reverse is selected. NICE  8)

The sterringwheel and the smile the little GTI badge on it brings to my face everytime i see it.

A close second is the cloth interior as i open the door of my GTI.
For some reason when i open the door of the leather fitted  one from work it does not bring the same emotion and i seem to smell crayons!!
