GoPro Camera, ideas for fitment

Now i have the camera i'm after ideas as to where to place it on the car?
The fittings with 3m sticky on them where do you guys place them?
 Not on the paint right?

All ideas are appreciated

I dont have a Go Pro but do use a headrest mount for my camera, gives a decent view especially with the Go Pro's wide angle lens imo  

Think most people over here use some variation of interior mount or grill/fog lamp mount (like Danza's) as i'm sure exterior suction type mounts are not allowed on UK tracks?

I have inverted the camera (possible by the menu) so it will be fitted up side down on the wind screen for starters, how does the Danza's system look like??

I flipped the camera to upside down mode and used a 3M mount to stick it to the underside of the bumper where the foglight grilles are. That way the mount is hidden and doesn't really matter if it makes the paint sticky when you remove it. Make sense?

Another idea - you know the grille on the top of the dash?? Buy a spare one and stick a 3M mount there too.

Software, I just use the free iMovie on my Mac.

I just use Windows Movie maker in Vista, certainly good enough for the limited stuff i do and suprisingly easy to use

It's very much trial and error for me too lol! I generally only ever cut the movie to length and then convert to 720p for upload to youtube so fairly basic stuff but does the job 

Only managed 1 track vid with the setup so far and it's all a very low budget production haha! Pocket camcorder and a home made mount for £8

I have a genuine GoPro Suction Cup Mount which I'll do for £15 posted if you want it. Stick it anywhere on the car and it will hold up to 200mph apparently. I stick to glass as its solid. When I stuck it to the roof internally on his race car it made a temporary dent where it sucked the roof in with the vacuum created!

Inside the car I've used it with a suction cup on the rear window and a little bit of zoom (Drift HD170's angle was too wide from that distance). I've also installed it with a joby 3-leg mount on the middle rear headrest but can't do it anymore sinced I've removed the rear seats. Can also be used in the fog area if you remove the foglights and don't use that for brake cooling. I've also had it installed under the driver's side mirror and the suction cup didn't leave any marks. From my experience, these action cameras are decent in good light (installed outside) but very mediocre installed inside where the light decreses quite a lot. Previously to the HD170 I've used my Sony HC3 HD camera wich was much better (sound and image) that the Drfit but I was running out of either the tape or the battery in 1h !
