I'd go for 2.0 tdi every time over a 1.4 petrol. Better mpg and torque. I would pass on the one you're going to see. I think 75k miles and 5 previous (ie 6 in total) sounds a bit suss to me. Also a bit expensive, in my opinion.

It does look nice but I also think it is a bit over priced for a 2004, having said that its low mileage for the year has the lurvley Charleston alloys and a retro fit FL front end.  With a fsh and the cam belt also.  Personally I wouldn't get a car with that many owners at that age but tbh it doesn't mean anything, if a car has only had one owner but they drove it like they stole it you are better off with 20 that driven it sensibly! Imho of course, good luck though buddy.

So I got the GT TDi I posted earlier and I can say I am positively amazed at how similar it is to my old petrol GTi! I kind of wish I had got this model instead of the petrol now. I know it's not as powerful or as responsive but it has everything else and is still fun to drive. Don't get me started on the mpg. In total this is the best decision I have made in years. I will post pics soon  :happy2:
