Only 1 brake light/running light working
« on: November 10, 2011, 01:00:34 pm »
My passenger brake light and running light has gone so I only have half a circle on running and only middle and drivers brake light. Easy fix you think..... Change the bulb..... NO
new lamp still doesn't work. Ok bulb holder looked a bit rusty (had condensation in light unit) so I got a new bulb holder from dealer... still doenst work!

I presume fuse is fine as other other 2 brake lights wouldnt work? Any idea which fuse it is?
The DIS shows light bulb gone.
Any idea where to check or if its a track along the wiring? In which case anyone know wiring colours or where to start as I cant get any useful wiring info off the manuals on here. Anything else common to go on them?

Looking in handbook it shows the fuses are in the engine compartment block

Brake light left - F25 (30 amp)
Left side light - F25, F26

The fuse F25 seems to be connected to a few lights so check that 1st  :happy2:

Your are a star! I presumed it wouldn't be a fuse as they would be on same fuse. Feel a bit stupid now (after buying a new holder) but happier then I did 10 min ago!
I dont have a fuse F25 or F26 under engine bay. Only goes to 24.

Handbook shows F25 and F26 to be the 2 big 30 amp fuses to the right of the screw thingy in the middle

They're sealed so new fuse required - has it blown?

No idea. I given up for night and in bed. Im not the best at looking for things tho like this so I probally did miss it and it is blown. The cluster looked like it had better days so replaced that and hopfully a new fuse wont blow.
