Quick question about DIY fitting of parking sensors
« on: November 10, 2011, 07:08:45 pm »
Done the search thing and got lots of info about how to fit after market parking sensors to my ED30 but there is one thing that I can't find.........  to fit in the original VW place can I drill through with the bumper still on the car?  I intend to put them in the top part of the rear bumper either side of the number plate cutout.  I don't particularly want to take the bumper off if I don't need to.
Anyway question over
Dave

I can see know reason why not, you will just need a kindly forum member to give you a set of accurate measurements to get the holes in the correct place.  But, tbh removing the bumper is a piece of cake and it will be alot easier for you the drill the holes and complete the necessary wiring.  :happy2:

I would recomend bumper removal & drill from the back.

If you you slip with the drill  :surprised:

Also how do you intend on sorting the wiring with bumper on??
