I have a poppy attached to my car dashboard 24/365 and also one which permanently lives on my favourite baseball cap.

But I wear/display a poppy for those who are fallen or injured but NOT for support of any armed conflict in which they take part.

I don't think the UK govn'ment (irrespective of political party) does anything like enough to support servicemen/women and their families and it annoys me. A two minute silence in tribute is very important but it isn't really enough in real practical terms. There's a danger in glorifying acts or war, in my honest opinion.
