Would you believe...... 16.6  :rolleye:

Wasn't expecting to match the ED30 at all, so well chuffed tbh (especially for just a Stage 1 map).
Must be a good 150-200kgs heavier with same power, so was a bit shocked.. :surprised:

Impressive ben, for what is effectively a standard car with a remap !

Not seen you out n about recently, car running well then  :happy2:

Still as was Tom and always about. Was just saying to Sanj this morning that I hadn't seen much of you recently (apart from the other week).
That reminds me, I have a hideous chip in my screen, you busy over next few weeks?

Rich was also there in his TT RS. Even though Audi updated his car last time it was in and mucked up the map he still did over 170mph.

Several Japanese cars left bodily parts over the airstrip during the day including a door, window and wing mirror!

Bens car ran well as did JKMs and Dans Seat.

Grip was most definitely at a premium. So much so that I had to start in third gear from under 30mph as second gear ended up as a scrabbling mess. Dry would have definitely given everyone better times and speeds.

Golf R gone.

Happens around this time evry year, as long as RAF Marham aren't busy! :happy2:

Pissed myself laughing when I heard that after seeinga bin liner over his passenger door window.. 192mph too :surprised:
Bet she ripped him a new one when they got back to the paddock..

Shame Ross didn't get a run in before hooning it on the out lap.. You should of heard it though.. Must of hit over a ton in a heartbeat.  :surprised: Just a shame it was a strict 30 zone and his car isn't the most inconspicuous when on full chat
He can't of had any complaints though..

Yep, it was a real shame that Ross got banned although I can see why, I was behind him on the way down and he let rip at the worst part of the outroad.....just in front of the ancillary crew by the Fire engine area. That was one area that the sergeant specifically mentioned to be careful around in the morning brief!

I was surprised about the airstrip too, I thought it would be as flat as a pancake, but it turned out that the start area and first third was uphill, with the centre section being flat and then the last third being uphill again. Add the start incline with the wet conditions and you do tend to struggle - even Stve Jr in his 997 Porrsche had to set off in third to avoid breaking traction with all 4  ( normal road tyres ) wheels and that is basically 900rpm!

He has also promised to build something special next year to compete with the big boys and give some kudos back to the VAG guys.

Good day, wasnt too interested in 30-130 times, as it was just too wet, didnt have any timed runs in the morning though, when it was fairly dry.
Quite happy with the 160mph top, but surprised at that Octavia, must have something special underneath, or just superb gear changes/DSG  :happy2:

JKM's Octy has the APR K04 conversion on the new 2.0 TSI motor. And it's a manual. It goes rather well!

Yeah seems like the TSI motor is pretty awesome, APR rave how much better the head is on them, gaining much better power yields.

Impressed with jkms octy, although the oil starvation issues from trackdays and sticky tyres are a bit scary

Jims has done a few trackdays mainly Combe but a few others without missing a beat. I have driven it and been out in it and it is phenomenally quick just not as quick as Luca's Trolley.
