HDMi would be your best bet, providing the TV and netbook both have them?

Personally I would say VGA, HDMI is usually supported but the resolutions aren't as good (and compatible in fact) plus it's guaranteed to work both ways (TVs have a VGA port and majority of pcs/laptops have it too)

HDMI if both netbook and TV have connections - this way the one cable handles both video and audio together.

If not then you need a VGA cable, along with a separate cable for audio (usually a 3.5 to 5.5mm audio cable - the one with the headphone jack at both ends).

Cheers guys  :happy2: I'm not sure if the netbook has an HDMI, tv does though. At least I now know what I'll need

5.5mm? For audio?  :stupid:

Some laptops have DVI plugs too..... white ones are DVI with 2 rows of holes in a rectangular shape and VGA are blue with 9 pins row of 5 above 4.... think my telly has HDMI and DVI not sure if anyone uses the older blue VGA ones anymore??
