Where can I buy a plunger for the high pressure fuel pump?

If its a whole new pump you need I have one you can have for £40 posted,near brand new condition
Only if that's what your after of course

You cant buy 'the pluger' separately, this pump is a good price, around £150 to buy a new pump anyway.

Ah just been told that the plunger isn't in the pic you have there, not exactly sure what I'm looking for to be honest but he asked if there was another part in the box? He said the plunger goes onto the spring part?

It goes over the end of the spring with the outside face facing down into the engine

The mechanic is saying that I might need a fuel pump and also the plunger which fits over the spring bit.

So from what you chaps are saying the bit he's calling a plunger is in fact the cam follower?

He's a vag master technician so would have thought he'd know what a cam follower is?
