Brake Disc Scimming
« on: November 17, 2011, 07:59:57 pm »
Been to Awesome today to get my front discs scimmed after i had warped them on Track,
They scim the discs on the car so that they run true with the hub, a lot cheaper way to solve the vibration and would say that the Braking on the APs now are smoother than when they where new :happy2:
£99.00 +vat cheaper and a better than buying new Discs

The full car shook braking down from about 80 mph
They are now smooth as silk  not a vibration or wobble anywhere, very happy with the results  :happy2:

I thought i would give it a go because,
While i was at Spa and talking to one of the racing team mechanics they said that getting warped dicsc rescimmed on the car usually last a lot longer than replacing for new ? because they have undergone lots of heat cycles and are less prone to warp again
