Autosmart Tardis
« on: November 17, 2011, 11:38:38 am »
Hello good people.

I want to buy some Tadis to get rid of all the tar that is stuck to my alloys (in combination with using IronX). Problem is, i don't really want to buy 5L of the stuff. So i was wondering if anyone would be willing to post me a litre of said product in exchange for some monies.  :happy2:

Let me know.

Thanks
Rich

Remember that this stuff is hazardous and shipping it in a plastic bottle and via royal mail is illegal.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

That ruled that one out then!  :signLOL:

Is there any other product that is comparable that comes in a smaller unit size?

Rich

Is it only tar and glue remover? If so use the Autoglym stuff available from Halfrauds in smaller bottles.

( Ive ordered some off ebay.... 1L, dont tell the Royal Mail)

Thanks hedge. This stuff it supposed to be the best tho, and the state of my alloys is needs to be verging on radioactive to get them clean.

Autoglym would have been fine too.

I use a generic megs bottle with chemical resistant spray head. I also empty the bottle (ie decatn the tardis back into the metal tin) and rinse out the bottle - tardis can eat through the seals!

WD40 is the most effective tar remover I've used... the AG stuff is a close second.

A lot of the stuff on E bay is watered down so it is not as effective as it can be. It will work but maybe not as good as it should be.

Its not possible to mix it with water its solvent based so any water will turn it milky mulchy white.
