Cheers, when I bought it I only went to look on the off chance to get a feeler for prices against quality.

I had a look at about 6 R's when I was looking to buy one and even some at the dealers were absolute rubbish, with flat paint or clearly been mis-treated.

The day I went to see this i sat in traffic on the M25 for about 2 hours on my way to Hertfordshire and very nearly came home without bothering.

thankfully I carried on, and as I pulled into the close there was this immaculate looking shadow blue R32 gleaming in the sunlight (the pictures i have used aren't the best and dont do it proper justice) and i fell in love with the shadow blue.

The nicest thing about it is there are not that many about and personally i think it is a nicer colour than the widely available DBP.

This car had clearly been cherished and I made him an offer there and then.  Sadly i'm now looking to sell it, as i need to free up some cash for a house build.

Very nice.
I love the colour too,   I have now had two golfs in this colour, its just a pain to try and show people what it actually looks like by photos. I also like it better than the DBP aswell. I often get loads of out of the blue positive coments about the colour from people.

cheers for comments guys.

Yeah it is an awesome colour, very rare and surprisingly it doesn't ever look that dirty! I think a lot of people mistake the shadow blue on the R32 to the same metallic blue on the standard golf and there is a big difference. difficult to show the colour though & you really need to get it on a sunny day to show it off properly.

I do get quite a lot of comments about how nice it is and it is a real head turner, I never thrash the engine and just cruise, the rumble of the big V6 engine and the rare exhaust note seems to be enough to make people take notice.

sadly now im looking to sell, will be looking at an edition 30 or maybe a mk6 golf gti if i can find a bargain.

My favourite colour too, and the colour of mine. Photo's don't do it justice. In sunlight or under lights, it looks amazing. I was in an underground car park yesterday, having cleaned it, and people were clearly admiring it as they walked past.

Is shadow blue available  on the MK6 GTi, or the ED35?

Stunning looking car mate. My GT Sport is also Shadow Blue and is lovely in the sun. Glad you've updated your pics too as I have just purchased some ED30/R32 rear lights and wasn't sure what they would look like. Also thinking about an R32 rear end so gives me a good idea what to expect.  :happy2:
