picked the beetle up this afternoon , top end speed is nt the best , needs a 6 th gear but apart from that really pleased with it its not a gti but for the purpose i want it for its great , build is good feels really solid , very quiet and smooth , power through the gears is nt outstanding but more than adequate
so any one want a pretty cool , cheap run a round for there missus (no normal guy would want one ) i strongly recommend the beetle  :happy2:
I guess I'm not normal then as I've had 5 New Beetles in various guises! :signLOL:

:pomppomp:they must be really sh*t if you ve had 5 nath , when i said not normal i ment slightly camp or hair dressers !!

   :stupid:

Got my eye on a 1.9 PD100 Beetle, has a tad more power than her current car as standard.
Anyone got any tips on what to look out for on those engines? It's done 100k.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Marvellous, will check it out, can imagine it being quite perky once mapped.

i did think about keeping it tbh as a winter car for me but  its just waste of money the 250 has done 700 miles in 8 months so the beetle wont get used
i honestly think its a good car , you guys are comparing it to your mk5 s im saying it as a stylish practical car , it drives really well , smooth , quiet and easy to drive
comparing it to a mk5 gti is like comparing the gti to a RS250 megane a warm hatch back to the best track focused hatch on the market !! :popcornsoda:
