What is the difference then between stage 2+ and a stage 3??
Is it purely software, or what hardware is needed?
Revo do stage 1, 2 and 2+

Shark do Stage 1,2 and 3

Same thing.

Revo stage 3 would shark stage 4

I should have probably commented earlier but janner_sy did such a good job. Plus I am a bit biased. My octavia runs 251.5bhp with a stage 1 remap and I only have an Evoms and a BSH revamp fitted. Ran on v power.

Does anyone have a GT 170 with a shark map? I want to get mine done in. The future and not sure what to go for. CC Tuning in Burton is the closest to me but Mansfield ain't too far either.

As Sy mentioned, Briskoda is the place to look for that, as the GT170 shares its engine with the  vRS diseasel, many happy customers from Shark!

Judging by facebook and the recent  seatcupranet/briskoda threads there has been a mass influx of guys with custom code tdi170 de-dpfs stage 2 maps changing to Shark Performance.

BRISKODA is a good place to look for remap experiences, there loads on there

Not so sure about SCN Sy, as 'Shark' is now added to their swear filter.......

If you have a DSG, bear in mind that you will get torque reduction requests from the gearbox. This manifests as in-gear peak torque lopping, and post change torque limiting.

I have not driven / been a passenger in any other DSG equipped remapped cars (engine only) to know if a similar sensation can be felt with other engine remaps.

What's that all about

Its mork being  mork.

Post number 19 explains all.  http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/215803-oh-dear-i-think-ive-upset-someone/

Had a read this morning.  Funnily enough he's the only person I've had issues with over there.  :fighting:

Its plain as day sometimes with sponsor loyalty.  Shark seems to have plenty of satisfied customers that is testiment enough.

I have Shark stage 1 remap on my DSG GTI and it is fine, But then again i do all my (spirited ) driving around town and rarely give it the beans, When would i notice this torque restriction?
And do you recommend a DSG remap?
