2 channel amp
« on: July 04, 2017, 11:17:03 am »
Can I connect my 3 way fronts to a 2 channel amp- or do I need a 4 channel amp?

Not looking for an active setup. Was planing to connect the amp via high level/speaker level inputs, it has auto turn on function this way.

Yup, that'll be fine. I'd be careful giving the OEM speakers too much power tho.

Each set of 3 speakers will be connected to one channel on the standard headunit

Ok cheers. I actually have the Rainbow IL set made for the Golf V in already, (well on one side anyway), but they don't sound much different to the OEMs hence why I want to add an amp and maybe change the speakers  for something better too.
