Milltek on DSG Edition 30
« on: April 12, 2009, 04:09:35 pm »
How much power increase do people think I would get with the following on my DSG Edition 30 with a full resonated Milltek TBE ....

Car as standard on Superchips RR (running 99 Ron fuel) was producing 229bhp.

Bluefin 'old' stage 1 295bhp (this is their map with the moderate torque increase - i.e. their older DSG map which is currently on my car)

Bluefin 'new' stage 1 299bhp (this is their new DSG map which is effectively the same as the manual one - it is on my computer but not the car at the moment ).

Is it just going to be figures on a piece of paper after another RR session or will I notice the difference ?  FWIW if I do it, it will be resonated - I am not interested in non res at all.

Other than the remap the car is totally standard.

Views appreciated .....

Christmas - their latest version ... got from them after they got around the torque limit for DSG boxes and it was reported on here .... There is nothing newer as I spoke to them about a week or so ago.  FWIW I have had no issues with either map on the car at all ..... just prefer the older remap at the moment.  I will no doubt get bored soon and change to the latest one for that 'bigger' hit

They have said if I go down the TBE route they will email me the Stage 2 version with slightly more boost

^^^ I saw a a jump of around 18-20bhp on their rollers after adding the TBE  :happy2:

This was at the point they overcome the torque limit for the DSG car so don't know in real terms what the increase would have but on this.

I would have said about 15bhp for TBE so Steve's results verify this :happy2:

OK, thanks ... so roughly 15 'ish ....

I take it that the car is likely to feel less 'tight' at the top end ?

It's not exactly strangled at the moment but definitely levels off slightly towards the red line with the newer map as that map produces so much more than my older map in the midrange !

I'm not interested in more low down - it has quite enough already   More at the top end is always welcome though

It was definitely the mid-top end that improved the most with the TBE, but in general it does seam to rev easier / freer than before  :driver:
