Should i be going for BKR7EIX or BKR8EIX on a stage 2'd GTI? Any advantages/disavantages to running either?

From the reading I have done when looking in to the spark plug options colder plugs are used in higher performance cars that generate more heat as they are better at dissipating heat than warmer plugs. Also it's my understanding that there is less risk of causing damage by using a colder plug than a hotter plug as a colder plug shouldn't cause overheating.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge than myself will be able to provide a better answer but in short it's my understanding that particularly in 'tuned' cars colder plugs are better.
