VW 16" Eos Adelaide with 215/55/ZR16 Barum Bravuris 2 tyres all round (6mm) does look a little frumpy...but hey ho !!

Should keep me on the road and protect my 18" Charleston's for spring ! :driver:

sigh.....I am going to miss looking at these sparkle !!

I also added a JOM bonnet Bra and some VW HEadlight protectors....

350 miles per week all motorway...will take its toll !

Just make sure that if it rains on the bra that you take it off, leaving it on all the time does far more damage than stonechips will.

Getting me all nervous now :scared:.......I gave the bonnet a wax before I put it on.....will this help?

Also, what exactly is the problem with the bra when wet....it will hold moisture next to the paint ?

Yeah it will trap moisture and grit under the bra and ruin the paint, seen the results of long term bra usage and it's not pretty...

I'd definitely remove it as the damage done by leaving it on will be far worse than any stonechipping!

Agree with the Bonnet Bra advice after it rains whip it off and give it a hoover.

Basically when it rains the water can carry grit/dirt down under the bra then as the bra vibrates and moves in the wind whilst your driving it acts like sandpaper :happy2:

Or do what I done last year

Wax car
Under the area where the Bra would go place masking tape (I used the blue 3m stuff)
Over Masking tape apply gaffer tape (This stops the masking tape from getting wet)
The apply Bra :happy2: :happy2:

Left mine on for 3 months and not a mark in sight :happy2:
