Pirelli and numbered plaques
« on: December 15, 2011, 04:27:35 pm »
I know the ED30 didn't come fitted with them and after being asked nicely VW supplied these afterwards to the owners.
I guessed the Pirelli being so few in numbers would have had a plaque but from doing some searching it appears they didn't.

Am I wrong and they do have plaques or have any Pirelli owners managed to get one from VW?

That's a shame.
I found this article which suggested they will have a plaque.

http://uk-mkivs.net/blogs/uk-mkivs_news/archive/2008/04/06/The-Golf-GTI-Pirelli-is-coming-to-the-UK.aspx

"Of great interest to enthusiasts will be the addition of a numbered plaque, which will feature down in the lower console area. Considerig the GTI Edition 30 lacked any kind of numbered hall mark, which was very popular on the MKIV Anniversary model, the Pirelli should help to make up for the shortfall."
