« on: November 26, 2011, 04:25:54 pm »
Just noticed cream isde my oil cap, not loads but enough

Coolant has gone down but when I switch the car off I've noticed it gurgling a couple of times

She's not overheating and only done 37k and 07 plate

Any1 else had issues?

If it has gone I will be doing myself, anybody done it themselfs / how much of a ball ache is it?

Typical after to happen just after I treet her to a turbo back exhaust :(

8 miles to work, and then about a milr to my gfs. Am lazy haha. Only had the car for. 3 months tho. And the oil was low, so topped it up. Dipstick oil isn't cream it looks ok. I am going to get it tested with that indicator on monday.

If there are no other signs, such as Mayo in the coolant header tank and you only do short journeys there isn't anything to worry about. I used to get exactly the same on my Mk4 GTi and V5 both of which only covered 200-300 miles a week.

Same here. Nice long journey normally clears it.

Oh rigght cheers!

Wierd coz had a 05 gti and that never mayo'd up. Must depend on the oil inside the engine allso..? Some oils react more to moisture maybe?

Anyhow fingers crossed she's good!
