I've fitted the folding mirrors to my car.Need to change the mirrors, door controllers and mirror switch. Also needs a bit of coding.

IMO, The folding mirrors on the mk5 are a bit of a joke to be honest, they only fold in about 45 degrees before catching because the mirror arms aren't long enough for them to clear the body. Poor design, but remedied on the mk6.
So would the Mk6 mirrors fit to the Mk5 if they are better?James
The part numbers I've got fitted are:Drivers side 1K0 959 701GPassenger side 1K0 959 702GBoth of these are a MAX1.I haven't managed to get the mirror to dip on reverse though, my car must still be missing something.As said in the post above it depends what year your car is as to what controller you will need. My car is a 2006 & I think the controllers & mirrors I fitted came off a 2005 car.If you do a search for folding mirrors you will find all the confusion involved with the different controllers!!
